MATERIA MEDICA IS MORE FUN TOGETHER
Plant Club is for people who want to get to befriend plants in a slow, intimate and deliberate way. Its sweet community is a place to share skills, medicines, experiences and information as we dive deep each month with a single plant. We'll get to know each plant, and ourselves and each other along the way. When you build a relationship a plant, it makes room for more feelings of belonging because in the process we are rebuilding an ancestral tool of nature connection.
Each month is host to a predetermined plant that we explore together (and separately all month) within the container of the Club. We introduce the plant at the beginning of the month learning about its botany and ecology, then each person get's to explore the plant individually all month long, next session we reflect on our experiences working with the medicine, relating our experiences to known herbal actions, materia-medica and folklore.
Because Plant Club is grounded in everyone’s personal experience of the plants, it’s accessible to all kinds of plant people- from folks new to the plant kingdom, to people who work with plants every day. And having a group with a diversity of experiences and perspectives makes the experience that much richer.
