the team

Aubrie Maze

Farmer. Herbalist. Community Organizer.

After falling in love with land-based, communal living after college co-op days, Aubrie has immersed herself in the daily work of tending land, raising animals, growing native & medicinal plants, making herbal medicine, and tending to all the behind the scenes work that creates a foundation for community and relationship based farming. Her creativity and passion are expressed in the aesthetics of land-tending and in creating spaces for community to thrive.  In her spare time she likes to tuck away and work on textile arts.

Scott Kelley

Farmer. Builder. Jack of all Trades.

Descending from a long line of farmers and ranchers, paired with a background in mechanics, construction, and fine art, Scott thrives tending to the diverse needs of a working landscape. He is absurdly reliable when it comes to the ability to tend to the regular maintenance of all the little things each and every day. When not problem solving the water system or milking the cows, you might run into him out on the trail, backpacking in the desolate desert wilderness.

Colby Accacian

Farmer. Dancer. Mindful Meditator.

With a background in veg production and facilities management, Colby has become an integral part to the team: handling animals with care, respect and confidence; mechanically minded to solve all the various problems that emerge on a small farm; a keen ability to notice where help is needed, paired with a stunning capacity to jump in and accomplish the task at hand. When he’s not working hard on the farm, he’s dancing hard (have you seen that guy dance??), or playing soccer, or telling a slew of recently-made-up dad-jokes.

Sofia Siem

Farmer. Caretaker.

A steady support in all things land and plant related, Sofia has been on the team since 2021, tending to gardens, helping install native plant hedgerows, and was crucial in the inception (and ongoing maintenance!) of the Apothecary Garden. She shares a keen eye for the aesthetics of land tending, noticing when plants need pruned or mulched or relieved of weed pressure, aware of what the garden needs in order to feel tended and tidy. When she’s not getting her hands dirty on the farm, you can find her lovingly caretaking other people’s kids, or being a solid friend support for those in her community.

Felicja Channing

Farmer. Herbalist. Mother.

In a world of dirt and chaos, Felicja helps keep the inner workings of Bramble Tail clean and tidy. She keeps our working spaces organized, functional, and pleasant to work in. She participates in both regular and seasonal value-add production, and works on keeping the world of landscaping and gardens well maintained. When not on the farm, Felicja is deepening her skills and knowledge as an herbalist, making herbal plant medicine, and being a solid mama.

Dixie aka Noodle

Cattle Dog. Couch Dog.

Clearly a crucial part of the farm team, we had grand plans for Dixie to help herd the cattle, being a cattle dog and all. Alas she is a little afraid of the cows, and is much more comfortable pouncing in the grasslands for gophers and field mice, sleeping sprawled out in front of the fireplace, or doing anything she can to get your attention to give her all the pets she can handle. Apologies in advance that she may bark loudly at you, she really just wants your attention so you can give her pets (see above).
